Drs. Vijfje 'Voetbalshop.nl' Champions League
A new year, a new season, and a brand-new chance to crown yourself as the one and only Vijfje Champions League champion!

What does it involve?
The Drs. Vijfje Champions League is an internal competition based on the group stage format of the Champions League model. This year, the CL will take place at two different moments during the season, with a SuperCup final at the end of the season between the winner of the first part and the winner of the second part of the CL. In the group stage, teams are randomly divided into groups, followed by a knockout phase with quarterfinals, semifinals, and a final.
The first phase starts on September 30 and ends on October 30. The second phase takes place from March to May/June. Matches in phase 1 will be played on Mondays from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The schedule will be made well in advance, so you have plenty of time to gather enough players for a match.
How many matches do you have to play?
Depending on the number of registrations, you will have 2 or 3 play sessions per group phase. During such a session, you will most likely play 2 matches of 25 minutes each.
What can you win?
Besides eternal glory and bragging rights within the club, there will be a special event styled like the Thuisspeelavond for the final. You’ll get to compete in front of a full crowd including parents and other Vijfjes for that coveted Vijfje Champions League title. The winner of the Champions League will, just like last year, be able to design their own set of match shirts (10 pieces) at Voetbalshop.nl.
